Saskia Erken

Saskia is studying 'Umweltgeographie and-management' (M.Sc.) at Kiel University. Before that, she also earned her bachelor’s degree in geography in Kiel. Her focus was mainly on nature conservation and landscape planning, coastal systems and climate change. Her bachelor thesis focused on how Ecosystem-based Adaptation can be evaluated in order to make their success measurable and comparable to be reproduced in a better way.

Since December 2022, Saskia works as a scientific assistant in the working group CRSLR. There she supports the research group in hydrodynamic modelling with Telemac2D. Saskia is currently working on the changes in coastal flood characteristics due to different sea level rise scenarios in Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
