Coastal Adaptation

We explore the factors that drive the responses of coastal residents to changing sea-levels and assess the effectiveness of strategies that people follow in order to reduce damages. Our work includes studies on private adaptation, at local scale, in various countries (e.g. Germany, Denmark, Greece, Argentina). As the measures that are undertaken can often be very effective, we aim to incorporate our findings in global models of sea-level rise impacts and assess the benefits of private adaptation.
